Five years ago today, on January 17, 2018, we launched the Sketchfab Store in beta to help our community members monetize their work with our platform. Ever since, we’ve been fortunate enough to see our seller base grow by the thousands and marketplace earnings double every year since the Store’s inception!
To celebrate our amazing creator community and continue our annual tradition of thanking sellers for working with us, we will be waiving our commissions for five days. That means that all sellers on the Sketchfab Store will be earning 100% on sales from 12 AM EST on January 17 until 11:59 PM on January 21st. (PayPal fees still apply.)
Over the last year, we’ve continued our rapid growth across all key metrics: new buyers welcomed to the platform, seller registrations and revenue earned by the creator community.
To date, over 200,000 loyal customers have chosen the Sketchfab Store to power their creative projects with our sellers’ 3D assets. We have seen a growing number of buyers returning to the Store time and again—proof of the buyer loyalty that has been our goal from day one.
